Spin
(Duration = 1hr)
Most athletes take for granted that they know how to ride a bike. But do you sometimes catch yourself mashing the pedals only to get dropped on a hill? Confused about what your optimal cadence should be? This technique-oriented session provides a fantastic introduction to the Computrainer system. Ride through a sequence of drills designed to activate and strengthen the smaller leg muscles that contribute to high efficiency cycling. Watch the SpinScan graphs change, engage your brain, and completely transform your technique in real-time. Learn how to ride smoothly over rolling hills, extend your endurance, and boost your speed. A post-ride report detailing all of your important parameters is presented at the completion of this ride.

Test
(Duration = 1.5hrs)
The goal of this ride is to measure your maximum steady state output in order to generate reliable heart rate and power zones. Choose from either the "short" version (which also allows for a measurement of VO2max power) or the "long" version (which gives the best results for lactate threshold). Don't let the test names fool you - neither option is easy! This challenging session provides key data that you will apply in future training blocks and can also be used to help shape your racing strategy. A post-ride report detailing all of your important parameters is presented at the completion of this ride.

HIM
(Duration = 3hrs)
Wondering what to expect from the bike course at your next half-ironman event? Ride the exact hill profile on the Computrainer while under the direct supervision of Coach Matt. Together, we'll fine tune all of your ride parameters so that you get off the bike feeling fresh enough to run your best. With established heart rate and power normals, we will also watch for signs of dehydration and bonking. A post-ride report detailing all of your important parameters is presented at the completion of this ride.
